We developed a digital presence for film and TV composer Hans-Günter Wagener. The website combines editorial web design, clear content structure and lightweight website development – calm, typographic and deliberately minimalist.
Challenge
Simplification requires precision.
The website was deliberately designed as a one-page experience. The challenge was to structure limited content so the artist's work, career and credits are clear at first glance, while preserving a distinct visual identity through editorial web design.
Approach
Less interface. More space.
We designed the site as an almost complete one-pager, guided by rhythm, typography and scrolling. Editorial principles replace traditional navigation. Subtle on-scroll triggers structure content and support a responsive web design experience without disrupting focus.
Implementation
Concept to code. No compromises.
Concept, screen design and website development were executed as one continuous process. The site was built with Eleventy (11ty) and kept intentionally lightweight. Reduced markup, performant frontend development and subtle scroll interactions create a digital experience that stays in the background while still guiding users. Hosting on Netlify with a global CDN ensures fast loading and reliable delivery.
